Bend Collaborative Artist Summit

The Bend Collaborative Art Summit (October 2-4 at artHouse LTA & The Open Arts Center) is a three-day event, free to the public, where local artists collaborate in real time on large-scale works. An application process by way of a Call for Artists will result in the selection of eight artists chosen to participate in the inaugural Summit.

Day One features a public Meet & Greet and Artist Showcase at artHouse LTA. Days Two and Three take place at the Open Arts Center, where artists engage in two formats: (1) a sequential “passing” process, where one artist begins a piece and others build upon it, and (2) simultaneous group creation on 72” x 72” canvases. A live panel discussion will follow.

A professional videographer will be present during the three-day Summit to document the events, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges these artists experience as well as the beauty that comes out of embracing each other's stylistic differences.

This event is designed as the first edition of an annual program. To support the first ever Bend Collaborative Artist Summit, please click here.
